red: Leaving by Ponte (Bridge) Rio-Niteroi, take BR-101 Road to Cabo Frio and, after Itaborai, turn  into RJ-116 Road to Cachoeiras de Macacu and Nova Friburgo.
green: Leaving by LINHA VERMELHA, take BR-040 Road till Petropolis and Itaipava; turn right  to Teresopolis, and  there, turn right on RJ-130 Road to Nova Friburgo.
yellow: Leaving by BR-040 Road, turn right after Duque de Caxias to Teresopolis. At Parada Modelo, turn right into RJ- 122 Road, and then, turn left at the police checkpoint into RJ-116 to Cachoeiras de Macacu and N. Friburgo.

Belo Horizonte - Nova Friburgo

Take  BR-040 Road to Rio de Janeiro. Before reaching Petropolis, take the exit to Itaipava, cross the bridge and turn right till the intersection, then turn left to Teresopolis; from there, take  RJ-130 Road to Nova Friburgo.

      Coming from Cabo Frio (RJ):
 Take BR-101 Road to Rio de Janeiro; just before Itaborai, turn right into RJ-116 Road to Cachoeiras de Macacu and Nova Friburgo. 

      Coming from Campos (RJ):
 Take RJ-158 Road to São Fidelis, and turn left at the police checkpoint on BR-492 Road; follow to Valão do Barro, Macuco, Cordeiro, Bom Jardim, and finally Nova Friburgo.

      Coming from Vitória (ES):
 Take BR-101 Road to Campos (RJ); from there, proceed as explained above.

1) From Rio de Janeiro / Niteroi (RJ):
  Buses of Viação 1001 leave Rio Central Bus Station every hour ( from Niterói - every two hours ); during holidays and weekends there are extra buses; 2 hours and a half drive.

2) From São Paulo - (SP):
  Buses of Viação 1001 leave from Sunday to Friday at 10 p.m.;7 hours drive.

3) From Cabo Frio - (RJ):
   Buses of Viação 1001 leave only on Sundays at 05:45 p.m. 3 hours drive.

4) From Campos - (RJ):
   Buses of Viação Gargau leave daily at 05:30 a.m. and 01:00 p.m. 3 hours drive.

5) From Juiz de Fora - (Minas Gerais):
  Buses of Viação Frotanobre leave from Sunday to Friday at 07:00a.m. 2 hours and a half drive.
